Status Update Message for the IVES program
Dear IVES participants,
In an effort to provide open communication with our IVES partners, the IRS is providing the following update while experiencing transcript delays.
For week ending July 22, 2022, IVES processed Acknowledgments for requests dated through July 6, 2022, and Transcripts/Rejection Notices for requests dated through June 27, 2022. If you have submitted a request prior to these dates and have not received either an Acknowledgment or Transcript/Rejection Notice, please supply the following to your IVES Dispute line for research:
- A copy of the original cover sheet showing the participant batch number.
- Acknowledgement of confirmation that requests were received by IVES showing the IRS batch number, if received.
- A copy of the original Form 4506-C.
- The reason for the dispute - such as: duplicate request; truncated transcript; incorrect year received; wrong form number (MFT); wrong type of transcript received; receipt of transcript not requested; missing request.
To support the IRS’ efforts in regaining our current target of 120 hours, Participants are asked to refrain from re-submitting missing requests or disputing missing items that have not been processed per the dates above.
